“Then [the Lord] said, ‘Come no closer! Remove the sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.’” Exodus 3:5
The SPARK was lit as we spent last year studying
important stories from the Bible with our SPARK
curriculum. We joined the ELCA’S Book of Faith
Initiative and opened the Bible together to learn the
story of God’s amazing love for us. This year we
will enter the Holy Ground of scripture as we study
more stories from our book of faith. We are looking
forward to exploring the following stories:
• Moses as a Baby
• Moses and the Burning Bush
• Moses and Pharaoh
• Moses in the Wilderness
• Advent and Christmas
• The Last Supper
• The Good Samaritan
• Lydia
Our children and youth need committed and
loving adults who are willing to teach Sunday
School. We are hoping to have enough adults to
teach so that we can have teams that will rotate the
teaching responsibilities. Please consider teaching
this year. As members of the congregation, we
promise to help raise our baptized children into lives
of discipleship. Teaching Sunday School is one
way to fulfill the baptismal promise.
